Together, We Can Turn Struggles into Strength

2023 Annual Appeal
Your contribution can change lives!
We all believe that every child deserves a safe place to sleep at night, a warm meal, and a nurturing environment. Family Promise of Carbon County helps meet those needs for homeless families. Families come to us at one of the lowest points in their lives, and that is why we believe in giving a “hand up” to our guests and supporting them in rebuilding their lives
Our shelter is program-based. Families have the opportunity to learn new skills and gain a support system. Families in the shelter are provided rooms, meals, laundry facilities, and case management services. Additionally, families attend budgeting, parenting, and relationship classes, and are connected to employment and housing services.
We do more than just satisfy our family's basic needs: we also build a nurturing environment for our children by actively participating in their lives and celebrating their milestones. From welcoming new additions to the family to rejoicing in birthdays and holidays, from encouraging those tentative first steps to orchestrating the memorable thrill of a first bike ride, we're there, doing what we can to make each moment special.
Throughout 2023, Family Promise has sheltered 87 people including 28 current guests, 14 of which are children under the age of 16. We have received over 100 family referrals – more than doubled since 2022. Our waiting list grows daily. Seventeen families have successfully completed the program and have found housing. And we help to connect many others to valuable resources in the community.
Family Promise needs the financial support of the community to continue its vital programs and services for homeless families and to provide a sense of normalcy for the parents and the children. Your kind donation will enable us to continue serving those families in Carbon County and the surrounding areas.
May your holiday season be as bright and hopeful as the future you are helping to shape for these families.
Thank you for your support.
